The assignments We get from lecturers 😞 I’m supposed to be an IMP with LOAD - my load being nonsense that people put up with in a daily basis without saying a word (implode). we had to ‘play ah mas’ for the audience at ole yard. What was interesting was that no one wanted to take my load. I was giving out little parcels labelled with different issues such as sexism, racism etc. but no one wanted to take any of it. Much like the way we carry on today. We know the problems exist, but we never take it upon ourselves to address it. #mas #oleyard #olemas #society #reality #mophead #tealhair

😁 thank you!

I think it would be good to start who a few simple stretches everyday, just to get your body acquainted with some of the movement before you really get into the practice. You can build a bit if flexibility like this and don’t feel completely useless when you try something from the primary series. That can make you feel as though you’d never be able to do yoga πŸ˜…

Some basic poses are-
Mountain pose
Tree pose
Forward fold
Half forward fold
Plank pose
Chutarunga dandasana (idk the English name for that one)
Upward facing dog
Downward facing dog

You can do that sequence maybe once or twice a day til you feel comfortable, and then search far and wide on the internet for more challenging poses and sequences 😁

Namaste!

How does anyone? Or how did I?

I always found that yoga was graceful. I was attracted to it because of it’s serenity. Because I wanted those things. So I got into it.
That’s how I guess? There was an attraction to it and then I pursued it…kind of like a lover πŸ˜„

And so, I went outside. 🌻

I get to the point where I just forget everything and focus within. Then everything else will follow.

Shanti.

Very tired tonight. My head aches and I haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a week (due to kittens 😭).

But this felt particularly good today.

If you feel really crappy, don’t skip practice. It’s a really good way to calm down and get in touch with yourself.

I’m still tired, but I’m happy. 🌞
What you gon’ do?

littlepandabear said: do you have any yoga videos or books to suggest for beginners. i really want to get started.

Idk about any books. I think kino mcgregor has a book. But if not, you can check YouTube or Cody app. There are lots of beginner videos to check out. Specifically kinoyoga and Tara styles. The Cody app has classes you can take but you have to purchase a class for about $20 USD. It’s really good though, because you can get an entire workout with explanations as to what muscles you should be using and what not to do, instead of having to go through a bunch of videos on YouTube.

πŸ™ shanti!
